Supporting students at final assessment time

Edited version of an article by Paul Kilvert printed in the Term 4 edition of Parents Say, the official magazine of the SA Association of School Parents Clubs Inc.

As Year 12 students complete final assessments and begin to revise for external examinations, you might be wondering how you can help your child through this difficult time.

Dr Paul Kilvert, Chief Executive of the SACE Board of South Australia, suggests in the latest issue of Parents Say that parents can help sons and daughters best by providing emotional support and encouragement. ‘Encourage your child to take regular breaks, get regular exercise and eat and sleep well, and help build their confidence that they can succeed.’
