SSABSA offers a range of workshops for teachers. While some are subject-specific, others cover more general topics such as the implementation of the literacy strategy, improving student writing, advising of the range of strategies available to students to work toward their SACE, and individualising assessment to cater for particular situations, classes, and students.
The list consists of workshops of 60 to 90 minute designed to fit with schools’ needs. Where schools have a longer session, such as in a pupil-free-day, a longer session can be developed from these shorter units.
For further information contact the Assessment Field Officer (AFO) for your school or contact the SACE Board of SA (8372 7400) and ask to speak to any of the AFOs.
The workshops are grouped into four areas:
- Information
- Retention and Completion
- Assessment Improvement Strategies
- Analysing Results
